Refund Policy

Last updated 16 September 2026

Fourteen days, no questions asked

If a Publisher licence is not right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase and we will give you one. You do not have to explain why, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

This applies to first purchases of both the monthly and annual plans.

How to ask

Email the address on our contact page from the address you bought with, or reply to your Freemius receipt. Freemius, our licensing and payment provider, processes approved refunds to the original payment method, usually within five working days, though your bank may take longer to show it.

Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically. We send a reminder before an annual renewal is taken.

If an automatic renewal catches you out, tell us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it and cancel the subscription. We would rather do that than keep money from somebody who meant to leave.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time through the Freemius customer portal, Ptero SEO → Account, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future charges. Your licence stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. After expiry, free features keep working; Publisher features need an active licence or trial, and paid updates and support end. Stored data is not deleted.

What is not refunded

  • Renewals older than 14 days, where no reminder was missed on our side.
  • Group or agency arrangements agreed separately in writing, which carry their own terms.

If something has gone genuinely wrong — the plugin broke your site, the service was down, we misdescribed what it does — the 14 days are not the point. Tell us and we will sort it out.

Statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days. Nothing in this policy limits that right, and where our policy is more generous, ours applies.
