The maths

Twelve monthly payments cost twice as much.

There's no clever tiering here and no discount that quietly expires. Paying annually is simply half the price of paying monthly, and it stays that way at renewal.

Monthly exists because some newsrooms can only buy that way. If you can pay yearly, pay yearly.

cost over 12 months
Monthly — €29,99 × 12 €359,88
Yearly — one payment €179,99
You keep €179,89

Effective rate €15,00 per month.

Running a group of titles?

Publisher covers one WordPress installation, so a single multisite network with forty mastheads is one licence. If you run separate installations across a media group, or you're an agency managing client newsrooms, get in touch and we'll quote properly rather than making you buy forty of something.

Questions

Before you buy

What happens when my licence expires?

The free features keep working. Publisher features require an active Freemius licence or trial; without one, paid features are locked and paid updates and support end. Your stored data remains on your site. You can still connect Search Console with your own OAuth client or through Site Kit.

Can I switch from monthly to yearly?

Yes, at any time, and the change takes effect from your next billing date. Switching to yearly halves what you pay from that point on.

Is the free version crippled?

No. It's a complete SEO plugin — titles, schema, sitemaps, redirects, breadcrumbs, image SEO and the technical audit, with no site limit. If you don't publish news, you very likely never need the paid add-on, and we'd rather say that than sell you something you won't use.

Does buying this guarantee I get into Google News or Discover?

No, and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. Ptero SEO makes sure your sitemaps, dates, schema and transparency signals match what Google documents. Whether Google includes you is Google's decision, and structured data is not itself a requirement for Top Stories.

Do you take a cut of my Search Console data?

We never see it. Search Console data is fetched by your site directly from Google and stored in your own database. Our connection service holds no tokens and no reporting data — it only brokers the sign-in handshake, because Google requires a registered OAuth client to do that.

How many sites does one licence cover?

One WordPress installation. A multisite network counts as one, however many sites are on it. Separate installations need separate licences, or a group arrangement.

What's your refund policy?

Fourteen days, no questions asked, for any reason. See the refund policy for the details.
