Pterosoft Studio builds software for people who publish. Ptero SEO exists because the SEO plugins newsrooms actually use were written for blogs.
Why we built it
Every general SEO plugin handles titles, descriptions and sitemaps well enough. None of them know what a correction is. None of them notice when an import quietly re-dates four thousand articles. None of them can tell you whether the byline a reader sees is actually in the HTML.
Those are not exotic problems. They're Tuesday in a newsroom. So we wrote the plugin that treats them as first-class.
How we build
Three rules, and they're visible throughout the product:
- ✓Say what's true. No E-E-A-T score, no ranking guarantees, no invented metrics. Where Google is ambiguous, we say so.
- ✓No dark patterns. The free plugin is complete, not a trial. No countdowns, no nag banners, no features held hostage behind a dashboard notice.
- ✓Your data stays yours. Search Console data never touches our servers. The sign-in service holds no tokens and no reporting data.
Open source, and licensed that way
Ptero SEO is GPL software, both halves of it.
The free plugin
Available as a free ZIP download under GPLv2 or later. Use it, fork it, ship it on client sites. No paid licence key, no site limit.
The Publisher add-on
Also GPL. An active Publisher licence unlocks paid features, updates, support and the connection service. Freemius manages licences, payments and subscriptions.
Reporting problems
Security issues go to the address below and get answered. Bugs get fixed in the order that does the most good for the most publications.
